When you see the trailer for Colossal, you think it's just going to be one of those one-time comedies you watch and simply forget. Well, think again, because this isn't just a film for those laugh out loud moments, there's a dark story behind it.
The film, written and directed by Nacho Vigalondo, an unknown to most of us, is original, quirky and has an ending that you won't be able to guess. Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis may seem like the wrong cast as first, but give them a chance for their characters to develop. Yes, it might be a bit of a slow comedy for some of you, but keep going. The story of how the monsters unfold won't leave you scratching your heads, Vigalondo ends the film subtly.
Would I recommend watching this film? Yup, you won't be left disappointed.
